Beginning the Journey: Writing My First 1930’s Cozy Mystery

It’s that world I’ve fallen in love with, and the world I’m bringing to life in my debut cozy mystery.

This blog will follow the journey from first draft to finished book: the research rabbit holes, the character quirks, the tiny clues that appear when I least expect them, and the joy (and occasional chaos) of writing a mystery set nearly a century ago.

I’ll be sharing:

  • Glimpses into my fictional villages and it’s residents
  • The inspirations behind my sleuth and suspects
  • The 1930s details that make the ear so irresistible
  • Updates as my debut novel takes shape

If you enjoy warm whodunits, vintage charm and a touch of gentle intrigue, I’m so glad you’re here. The kettle’s on, the notebook is open, and the adventure begins.
